Retirement & Transition

Retiring Continuous Delivery Ecosystem Foundation (CDEF) and transitioning to DevOps Engineering Foundation (DOEF)

Earlier this year, DevOps Institute introduced the DevOps Engineering Foundation (DOEF) course and certification which is a superset and refresh of the Continuous Delivery Ecosystem (CDEF) content. Given the overlap in content, and that the new DOEF release includes the latest on Continuous Delivery principles and practices,  DevOps Institute will be retiring the CDEF course and certification exam as of September 30, 2022.

As seen on LinkedIn, the DevOps Engineer role is one of the most in-demand tech jobs in 2022. We encourage Partners and Instructors still offering CDEF to transition to the new DOEF offering to support the need for skills development for this in-demand job role. Please contact our Customer Service team at customerservice@devopsinstitute.com to learn how instructors can onboard and become certified to deliver DOEF so you can add this to your DevOps Institute training portfolio.

New Partner Hour

DevOps Institute Accredited Instructor Certificates:
